Adam Sandler is back , having starred, produced and written his new Netflix movie, The Ridiculous 6. The Ridiculous 6 premiered online this past Friday, (Dec.11th) and entails the story of a half white/half native American guy named Whiteknife ( Sandler),. Whitekniffe was raised by native americans, having not known his father, (Nick Nolte) , until he unexpectedly appears and asks a favor him, in regards of some money. Nolte's character is an old cowboy thug bandit and get taken away as hostage by an old gang led by Danny Trejo. This leaves it all up to Whiteknife on a quest to find money and rescue his father out in  the old wild west. Along the way, Whiteknife discovers that he has 5 other half brothers, played by Rob Schneider, Terry Crews, Luke Wilson, Taylor Lautner and Jorge Garcia.  The all assemble as a gang and form the Ridiculous 6. The film also has numerous guest stars, such as Jon Lovitz, Steve Zahn, Vanilla Ice, Whitney Cummings, John Tuturro, Harvey Keitel, Will Fort

Hello everyone, I'm back after a long hiatus and this past month of November, I got to see some pretty good movies. One, being the finale in the Hunger Games Saga, Hunger Games: Mockingjay Part 2 and Creed, the highly anticipated Rocky spin-off. Beginning with Mockingjay part 2, the film adequatley gives a proper send off to all off the characters in the film. The protagonist , Katniss Everdeen, is faced saving all of the districts once and for all and her group of x-hunger games victors and friends battle against President Snow for a new republic in the capitol, a democratic republic. There were good tense action scenes , that of which one saw in the trailers, it is to be expected, but nothing over the top, or breathtaking.  Also, for first-time viewers, be on the lookout for newly recruited foes from Snow and his army, for all you zombie fans, there's a surprise for you all. But, the ending of the film was predictable and there was no major drama or suspense that leaves you

All you know the the late- great Robin Williams. His genius in tv, movies, comedy, and entertainment will live on forever. Honestly, I can't believe it's been over a year since he passed. His death for me, was as heartbreaking as Michael Jackson's. But, a way to remember him is watching the documentary, Robin Williams Remembered, that chronicles the life's work of Robin Williams , ranging from his Julliard days to Happy Days and his Good Will Hunnting , Dead Poet Society and many iconic film of his. It's available on Netflix to stream. If you are a fan, you gotta check it out!! 

Black Mass, a movie , starring Johnny Depp, Benedict Cummberbatch , Joel Edgerton, and Dakota Johnson , entails the life of notorious Boston gangster and FBI's most wanted,  James "Whitey" Bulger. Bulger has been in and out of America's worst prisons and had been a thug all around Boston, MA and across the US in the 60's 70's 80's , until is arrest 4 years ago, after going off the grid to avoid being a prisoner for the rest of his life.  However, that didn't work, and he and his crew in the 70s and 80s, in Boston,  would assert their dominance as gangsters with drug trafficking , challenging local gangsters, and killing anyone viewed as a threat to them. The FBI at the time, tried to get their hands on Whitey , but he would always hide out and cover his tracks from his actions. The shows that I continue to watch from last year, are Blackish and Fresh Off the Boat from ABC. These shows are hilarious and the writers of these shows always come up with new material. The fight that everyone has been waiting for , will happen on May 2nd, and with only a couple days away, the boxing world and fans around the world will know who is the best fighter today. This fight should have happened 7 years ago, when Mayweather and Pacquiao were younger and coming off great victories but I'm glad that this fight will happen. This fight will also be one of the most expensive fights ever, Floyd Mayweather is expected to make over 100 million dollars and the same goes for Manny Pacquiao. You can purchase the fight on Pay-Per-View for about $100. Seats for the fight are being sold for as high as $40,000 dollars each. So, with all of this money being invested, the fight better not disappoint. Now, in terms of who will win, I believe that Manny Pacquiao will win  this fight in the 12th round and a potential knockout. I respect Mayweather's credentials and him being undefeated, but I think for the more reason, he has something to lose in this fight, and his mask

To all my Fast and Furious fans out there, I have some good and exciting news, Furious 8 will hit theatres on April 14th, 2017. There will be another movie!! We shall see where the Furious crew heads next. I had no doubt that there will be another movie, it made over a 100 million dollars in its opening week and to date, its made over 1 billion dollars worldwide. Most of the revenue obviously came from those movie goers, including myself, wanting to see how Paul Walker's tenure with the franchise ended, due to his tragic death in 2013. It will be interesting to see if there will be any new characters added in for the next movie and potentially  another leading A-list Hollywood actor added into the cast.  The news was announced today in Las Vegas, at Universal's CinemaCon by leading actor and franchise staple , Vin Diesel. According to IMDB, Diesel's reactions were, " We were giddy and excited, you all (fans) gave me so much confidence. There was so much love." In

Playoff time for the NBA is a great and exciting time. The top 16 teams in the league duel it out for the crown of the league's best, an NBA championship. The matchups for the Eastern Conference are, 1. Atlanta vs. 8. Brooklyn, 2. Cleveland vs. 7. Boston, 3. Chicago vs.6. Milwaukee and 4. Toronto vs. Chicago.  For the Western Conference, the matchups are 1. Golden State vs. New Orleans, 2. Houston vs. Dallas , 3. Los Angeles Clippers vs. San Antonio and 4. Memphis vs. Portland. Now, it is time for the predictions. Now starting off with the East, I believe that Atlanta will beat Brooklyn convincingly in their series, 4-1. Atlanta is the best team in the East this year and should have no problems against an aging Brooklyn team with Deron Williams and mediocre center play by Brook Lopez.  Now for Cleveland and Boston, The Cavs will beat the young Celtics team, 4-1 in a series. After having a week to linger my thoughts on the latest Furious 7 movie, I have come to the conclusion that is was well done considering the circumstances of Paul Walker's death. In the latest installment of the Fast and Furious franchise, the racing gang comes back together to  fight Deckard Shaw, brother of the last move's villain, Shaw , but was brutally injured by the Furious gang and reclaimed , Letty, who lost her memory of her old friends and was trained as a mercenary under Shaw. But, in Furious, 7 , all seems well as all of the original members are together again, but Deckard Shaw takes out a member of the crew, drawing the attention of the Fast 7 crew and wanting complete chaos wherever he goes.  So, the Furious Crew must take down another Shaw and with the help of secret government forces, the look to save citizens from Shaw's chaotic plans.  The action in the film is well shot and like all of the Furious films, there's great fighting sequences and racing sce

Well folks, it is all over! A new NCAA Basketball Champ is crowned and that team is Duke Unviersity. Coack K and his Blue Devils capture their 5th national championship under the leadership of Senior Guard Quinn Cook from the DC area such as myself, and excellent freshman play of Tyus Jones, Justice Winslow an potential NBA #1 pick in the 2015 draft , Jahlil Okafor. Duke went up against a Wisconsin team that was coming off from defeating an undefeated Kentucky team and with their play under National Player of the Year, Frank Kaminski and Sam Decker. However, Wisconsin struggled throughout the game at the free throw line at 60% versus Duke's team percentage of  80%.  In addition, Wisconsin's shooting overall was less than satisfactory with 41% from the field and Duke nearly made half of all of their shots with 47%.  As for the defensive side of the ball, Duke handled Wisconsin with 6 blocks and 4 steals. Wisconsin on the other hand, only 1 block and 3 steals. And you know what t

After a crazy last week in college posteason basketball, we are down to the Final Four teams, which are Duke, Wisconsin, Kentucky, and Michigan State. Undefeated Kentucky will face Wisconsin, and big man , Frank Kaminski. This will be a rematch of last year's game when Kentucky won in the final seconds, to advance to the championship game. They look to defeat Wisconsin again this year and head back to the title game. As for the other two teams, Michigan State and Duke, it should be a great matchup with head coach Tom Izzo leading his Michigan State Spartans to another Final Four and legendary Coach K for Duke, the all-time winningiest coach in college basketball, looks to head to the championship game , since 2010. We shall see this weekend again, how will emerge victorious in the battle between the top-notch basketball programs in the country! It all goes down this Saturday!!

College basketball fans, now is the time to get exticed!!! We are down to our final 8 teams in the postseason tournament. The final 8 teams are: Kentucky, Michigan State, Wisconsin, Arizona, Duke, Gonzaga, Notre Dame and  Lousivlle. The team to beat in the tournament and all season is , Kentucky, who has gone 37-0 and looks to be the second team in NCAA Basketball history to have an undefeated season. However, there are some teams such as Wisconsin and the big man, Frank Kaminski who look to get their revenge on Kentucky from last season, after they were knocked out in the Final Four against Kentucky. Kentucky must face a Notre Dame team tonight, that is on a roll, after winning the ACC Championship and excellent guard play by Jerian Grant, one of the seniors on the team.  And back to Wisconsin, they must play an Arizona team tonight that wants revenge from Wisconsin, that knocked 'Zona out of the tourney last year in the Elite 8.  It should be a great night tonight for basketball

Now, former Mavs, Suns and Lakers Point Guard, announced his retirement from the NBA after 19 seasons. Nash was a great player and put up some historic numbers. He is a 2-time MVP from 2004-2006, with the Phoenix Suns. In addition, Nash is 3rd, in all-time assists, with over 10,000 for his career. Nash was a great player, representing Canada and paving the way for Canadian basketball players in the NBA, such as Andrew Wiggins, Thristian Thompson, etc. Although, towards the last 2 years in the league with the Los Angeles Lakers, Nash was plagued with injuries and never played a full season with the Lakers.  Here's his statement according  to ESPN, " My time playing this game has been incredible. I played on some great teams-- had a lot of success--and I just wasn't able to get over the hump a few times. I simply want people to remember me as a competitor and great teammate. That's it." For all you college basketball fans, it is March Madness and that that means it its tournament time for all 68 teams and the one and done postseason, where any college basketball team can win it all. But, let's take a look back about 27 years go, when Lattener joined the Duke Bluedevils basketball team under Coach K. Lattener was a highly recruited high-school player and looked to take his game to the next level at Duke. The reasons whey non-Duke fans hated him so much was because, we as "dirty" player with hitting players and kicking players when they were down. But Lattener to his defense said, " sports isn't supposed to be goody, goody, its competition." In addition, he was talented on the court, he court shoot, pass, play defense and all-around difference maker on the court. Kendrick Lamar is back and with his highly anticipated album, To Pimp A Butterfly. Lamar has been on his grind and it certainly shows in his new album. It is a great sophomore album, following G.O.O.D. KID M.A.A.D. City album in 2012-13. I recommend to all rap fans and music fans to check out this album! Rating: 10/10!!! This past weekend , there was alot of great shows to watch, particularly on Sunday night on HBO and Showtime. On HBO, there is the popular original series, Girls, which is in it's fourth season and has elevated its' plot tremendously from last season. If you haven't watched the series yet, there is still time to catch up. Season 4 will end in about a couple of weeks. The show's creator and main character, Lena Dunham, (Hannah), is a struggling writer trying to make her way through New York and growing up as a young adult , alongside her 3 best friends and other characters along the way. In addition, a new original HBO series, Togetherness, had its' season finale last night and it was pretty well done. The show is about a late to middle aged Brett, a sound effects producer in suburban Southern California, with his wife Michelle, his best friend, and roommate, Alex, a struggling actor, with Michelle's sister, Tina and Brett and Michelle's kids all living toget

If you haven't had the opportunity to watch the latest documentary on NBA star Kobe Bryant, check it out on Showtime now. The newest documentary shows Los Angeles Laker star Kobe Bryant and chronicling the success and failures of his NBA career, from winning 3 consecutive championships in the early 2000s, the infamous rape charge against him in the media and in the courts. That could have completely derailed his career and we would not see the Kobe we see today probably in the league and in the media spotlight. Also, the documentary entails the recent injuries Bryant has faced over the last 2 and a half years, from tearing his Achilles, knee fractures and about a month a half ago, tearing his rota-tor cuff in his shoulder. Former MVP and PG of the Chicago Bulls , Derrick Rose is hurt again with a torn meniscus in his right knee.  This will be Rose's 4th knee surgery in the past year. Ever since Rose suffered from a torn ACL in the 2012 playoffs against Philadelphia, he has missed over 100 games with the Chicago Bulls. The question now loom s for the Bulls is,  will Rose ever be helathy and be a dominant player again in the NBA? It is evident that he is injury prone and as an NBA fan, this has happened far to often with players of Rose's caliber in the past, ex: Penny Hardaway,  Tracy McGrady, Grant Hill etc. Those players went on to have long careers and were talented, but their injuries stunted them from achieving potential NBA Champion and future Hall Of Fame status. Since the Academy Awards is tomorrow, honoring those would have contributed to the betterment of film this year. There have been great performances by actors and cinematic detail from old and new directors. My top 3 movies that have got my attention this year, is Boyhood ( Director: Richard Linklater), Foxcatcher, ( Starring : Steve Carrell, Channing Tatum and Mark Ruffalo) and Birdman ( Director: Alejandro Gomez-Inarratu with starts such as Michael Keaton, Emma Stone, Edward Norton) and finally American Sniper, which was directed by Clint Eastwood ( Starring Bradley Cooper). Also, some honorable mentions are Whiplash, with stars J.K. Simmons who had an outstanding performance and won this year's Best Supporting Actor Golden Globe. He is my pick to win this year's Oscar. Hello everyone, I'm back from taking a bit of a hiatus from my posting and I've got some new posts for you all . First, I want to discuss what I watched last night, which was an intreview between NBA superstar Kobe Bryant and Ahmad Rashad. Kobe Bryant' current NBA superstar, Laker legend and 5-time champion and MVP who came onto the scene at 17 yrs old in  the NBA. It is almost 20 years since Bryant has come into the league and has taken it by storm, shattering almost all Laker records and NBA records. His recent accomplishment was surpassing Michael Jordan, the best player to ever play in the NBA, as 3rd on the All-Time Scoring List.  However, Bryant has been plagued by injuries the past 3 years,  with an Achilles tear, Knee Fracture and just 3 weeks ago, a torn rota-tor cuff in his shoulder. Bryant has not played a full NBA season in two years. Many of us fans , media and NBA colleagues are wondering if Bryant will retire soon. Will he ever be the same dominant player aga

Football fans, the nfl teams competing for the Super Bowl have been narrowed down to the Colts , Patriots, Packers and Seahawks. Now, for the NFC, the Green Bay Packers will face the defending Super Bowl champion Seattle Seahawks. The two teams faced off at the first game of the season and Seatttle proved their worth in beating the Packers 36-16. Also, with Green Bay's quarterback Aaron Rodgers being hurt with a torn calf, it will limit him and his passing against the best defense in the league. I expect the Seahawks to win handedly at home 28-10. Now for the AFC, it came as a shock as the Colts defeated Peyton Manning and the Broncos. Quaterback Andrew Luck was poised in the pocket and made excellent throws. It was sad to see Manning lose and not have another chance of playing th Patriots and potentially winning for a shot at another Super Bowl. This will be Luck's first AFC championship against veteran NE Patritos with Tom Brady at the helm at quarterback with 3 Super Bowls a

Football fans, it would is time for a second week of playoff action. For the NFC, the winners were the Dallas Cowboys in the wildcard against the Detroit Lions, 24-20. However, the face the tough Green Bay Packers at their home under elite qb Aaron Rodgers. Also, the Carolina Panthers are red hot from a 5 game win streak and beating the Arizona Cardinals in the wildcard round, 27-16. But tonight, they face the defending Super Bowl champion Seattle Seahawks under their tough defense and qb Russell Wilson.  Now, for the AFC, the Baltimore Ravens won last week against the Pittsburgh Steelers but they face the NE Patriots and under 3-time champ Tom Brady at qb. In addition, the Indianapolis Colts won last week against the Cincinnati Bengals and face former QB and champ Peyton Manning and the Denver Broncos.  Now, let's get down to predictions , I have the Packers winning against the Cowboys and the Seahawks beating the Panthers.
