NBA Playoffs and Predicitons ( 1st round)

Playoff time for the NBA is a great and exciting time. The top 16 teams in the league duel it out for the crown of the league's best, an NBA championship. The matchups for the Eastern Conference are, 1. Atlanta vs. 8. Brooklyn, 2. Cleveland vs. 7. Boston, 3. Chicago vs.6. Milwaukee and 4. Toronto vs. Chicago.  For the Western Conference, the matchups are 1. Golden State vs. New Orleans, 2. Houston vs. Dallas , 3. Los Angeles Clippers vs. San Antonio and 4. Memphis vs. Portland.

Now, it is time for the predictions. Now starting off with the East, I believe that Atlanta will beat Brooklyn convincingly in their series, 4-1. Atlanta is the best team in the East this year and should have no problems against an aging Brooklyn team with Deron Williams and mediocre center play by Brook Lopez.  Now for Cleveland and Boston, The Cavs will beat the young Celtics team, 4-1 in a series. The Cavs way more talent than the Celtics, with LeBron James, Kyrie Irving and Kevin Love. They may face some trouble adjusting in their playoffs roles , since Irving and Love haven't played in the playoffs until now but after the first game of the series, they will dominate the series. Next, is Chicago and Milwaukee. Chicago will win this series, 4-1. The Bulls have a complete team under a healthy and former MVP Derrick Rose and big men, Joakim Noah and Pau Gasol, and the Bucks are a young team with a lot of promise and great coaching by ex-player Jason Kidd this year, but I think they need more talent and experience for next year.  And Lastly on the East side is Toronto vs. Washington. Washington will win this series, 4-2. Washington has one of the best point guards in the league, John Wall and shooter Bradley Beal. The Wizards also have championship veteran experience with Paul Pierce leading them and a major frontcourt with Marcin Gortat and Nene. Toronto will put a fight, but in  the playoffs, you need more talent and experience, that's something they don't have, maybe next year Canada!

And Lastly, I will breakdown the Western Conference opening round.  1. Golden State vs. New Orleans, Golden State v. New Orleans, I got G. State, they have the projected MVP this year with Steph Curry and way more offense,  I got them sweeping the Cajun State, 4-0. Next, is Houston v. Dallas, I have Houston beating Dallas, 4-2 in a series. Houston has James Harden , an MVP candidate and a healthy Dwight Howard, they will be unstoppable.  For the 3/6 matchup, I have the defending champion San Antonio Spurs winning this round, 4-2  against the Clippers. The Spurs have way more experience, they won't lose this early.  Finally, for the Portland/ Memphis matchup, I have the Grizzlies winning this one in a contested series, 4-3. Both teams are evenly matched and I expect Memphis to pull it out in the  end.

Those are predictions for the first round and I hope that my teams will come through! What are you predictions? Hit me up on Twitter @PopCulture514
