In a recent documentary from HBO Sports, chronicles the story of former boxing great Johnny Tapia.  Tapia was notoriously known for his wild fighting style in the 90s and drug problems with cociane and being arrested and imprisoned for it. However, this documentary shows Tapia's perspective among all of the controversy. Born and raised in Alberquere, New Mexico, raised by a single mother and grandparents until when Tapia was 8 yr old, his mother was brutally murdered by being stabbed 22 times and possibly raped. Tapia would a later find out the killer who was linked to his mother's death was her boyfriend and his associates at the time. Yet, this scarred Tapia throughout his life, which lead to bad decisions growing up, involving gangs and heavy cocaine usage, However, Tapia found hope through boxing and began training and it served as physical and physcologial therapy for him, based on his past. Rapper J. Cole debuted his much anticipated album today and he did not disappoint. The album took a little over a year from his last one, Born Sinner ( Summer 2013), and there are numerous hits, such as Wet Dreamz, G.O.M.D. , Fire Squad and many more. I expect those songs to be in heavy rotation across radio stations nationwide. Cole used his time effectively and created an excellent follow up album. He has reasserted himself among his contemporaries, such as Drake, Childish Gambino,  Kendrick Lamar, Tyler The Creator, Wale,  Mac Miller , and Big Sean.  However, expect some new material from rappers such as Drake, who is working on a new album and is expected to be released in beginning of 2015.     Not to mention, seasoned rap vets and stars such as Jay Z and Kanye West will make new songs in the near future. After much debate and controversy over this year's FBS college football playoff, the top 4 teams will be 1) Alabama , 2)Oregon, 3)Florida State and 4) Ohio State.  The match ups will be Oregon V. undefeated Florida State and Alabama will have their hands full against rising Ohio State. After those two match ups have concluded. The Championship will be Jan 12 in Arlington, TX (Cowboys Stadium). My prediction: Florida State and Alabama will face off in the championship and Florida State will continue their undefeated championship season under QB Jameis Winston and Coach Jimbo Fisher.  We shall see who wins it all next month.
