Big Hero 6

The latest animation movie that I watched from Disney, was Big Hero 6. Big Hero 6 was a heart-warming, exciting , captivating movie, involving a boy tech genius, named Hiro Hamata. Hiro lives in the town of Sanfrantokyo and he and his brother Tadashi are involved in creating new tech gadgets for the future. Tadashi creates a new robot that is designed to combat any physical health problem. The robot is called Bymax. With Bymax, Tadashi and Hiro could revolutionize health and cure all diseases etc. However, tragic news strikes when Tadashi unexpectedly dies in a fire at the university he attended.  This leaves Hiro, alone and up to him and Bymax to solve his technical problems and help the world. However, Hiro is not alone and with the help of his and Tadashi's friends, they are able to use him for good and defeat the evil forces that lurk and want to use Bymax negatively. With all that being said, Disney hit this movie out of the park and has another gem on its hands. I recommend

RG3 Drama ensues in Washington

As a lifelong Redskins fan and Washington-dc area native, I have come to the conclusion that QB Robert Griffin III is not an elite quarterback and can't lead the Redskins to consistent victories. Coupled that with his numerous injuries in a span of 3 years, he cannot also be healthy.  In a article by Patrick Cannon from CBS Sports, titled  " Dear RG3: You Are Not an NFL QB", perfectly summarizes and outlines the stress Redskins fans such as myself have and his entitlement as a QB. He simply needs to prove to himself and Redskins nation that he will work on his fudamentals as a quaterback and focus on winning football games. Take a look at the article from Cannon and read the truth about Griffin. http://washington.cbslocal.com/2014/11/17/dear-rg3-you-are-not-an-nfl-qb/

St. Vincent Movie Review

The movie, St. Vincent, starring Bill Murray, Naomi Watts and Melissa McCarthy entails the story of Vincent an elderly man who is quite disgruntled with the world and receives new neighbors (McCarthy) and a little boy Oliver, played by Jaden Leiberher. McCarthy's character is a single mom , with Oliver and is busy working as a nurse, leaving her son Oliver, unattended afterschool. So, she asks that Oliver be watched by Vincent ( Murray) and be paid as a sitter. A newfound relationship forms between Oliver and Vincent, serving as father-son relationship, with Vincent teaching Oliver how to be a man, stand up for himself, be confident. In turn, Oliver teaches Vincent how to be compassionate and polite to those around him in his community.  As for Naomi Watts character, she plays a pregnant Russian prostitute who forms a friendship with Vincent and they have somewhat of a romance going on simultaneously. So, all of these characters seem to disfuctionally blend together in the film and

Daniel Tosh Gets Back at ESPN with a Vengeance

Image
For those of you, that watched the Comedy Central show, starring comedian Daniel Tosh, it is a show that parodies and mocks what's going on in today's pop culture, from celebrities and athletes and people on the internet. Tosh has a segment called, Web Redemption, where he interviews a person who has gone viral on the internet with a "fail" video and gives them an opportunity to redeem themselves by doing their stunt or trick correctly on his show.  ESPN came out with a segment called Awesome Videos and they copied the exact same format for the segment. They interviewed the failed person and gave them an opportunity to redeem themselves.  Tosh, was displeased and outraged that ESPN stole an idea from him that hes been doing for years on his show. Well, that's show business for you, it's not about who does it first, but who does it the latest.  So, Tosh parodied one ESPN's show's Sports Science and called it Sports Science. 0.  Take a look for yourselve

Napoleon Dynamite 10 years later, A Retrospective

I can't believe its been 10 years since the movie, Napoleon Dynamite, came out. I actually remember watching it in theaters at 9 years old and thinking this movie was amazing and still is today. The movie still has a cult following and people still watch and quote lines from the movie everyday. Entertainment Weekly wrote a great article on the struggles of making the low-budget film and it possibly not being made, and the amazing reception it had on fans. The film created careers for some unknown actors, such as Jon Heder, who played Napoleon and Efren Ramirez, (Pedro). Check this article out, I'm sure you'll love it as much as I do. And remember , Vote for Pedro!! http://insidemovies.ew.com/2014/11/11/napoleon-dynamite-reunion/

Gabriel Iglesias "Fluffy Movie" Reviewng

I finally got a chance to see the funnyman, Gabriel Iglesias' movie , Fluffy the Movie. It was great and contained alot of matieral, inclduing his recent popularity, touring across the world, particulary India and recognizing the cultural similarities and differences in the United States. Also, Iglesias talks about his family and raising his step son, Frankie and being a father , while he himself had an estranged relationship with his father , him not being around with Iglesias as a child and attempting to recconect with him as an adult. Also, he talks about his recent weightloss and we nearly died due to his max weight of 445 pounds. He said his doctor only gave him only 2 years to live unless he lost weight, well obviously we lost weight, 100 pounds to be exact and plans to lose more and jokingly call himself "Buffy". Overall, Iglesias is a great comedian and knows how to relate to an audience by talking about family life that goes on in our lives, that we don't men
