Wizards look to win series tonight in Chicago

The Washington Wizards look to make their first playoff series victory in 9 years tonight against the Chicago Bulls. The Wizards have a 3-1 lead in the series and have won 2 games already in Chicago. Another sign of good news for Wizards fans, is that Nene, who was suspended for one game for gettting in altercation on court with Bulls player Jimmy Butler, will be eligible to play. With all players rested , I expect Washington to win the series tonight. It would be so much to the city of Washington D.C. and the DC area.  Lets finish them off Wizards!!! Go Wiz!

Donald Sterling Decision and NBA reaction

Commissioner Adam Silver of the NBA has banned Los Angeles Clippers owner Donald Sterling for life in the NBA. He has received a 2.5 million dollar fine and cannot participate and engage in any NBA-related activity,. This was all due to a recent recording of him spewing racist remarks against African-Americans, and any or minority fans attending his games. His girlfriend is also a minority and offended her and every person in America. There is no place for racism and any form of discrimination in the NBA and professional sports. As for now, Sterling is still the owner of the Clippers , but under the NBA constitution and by-laws , 3/4 of the NBA owners and front-office staff. Most likely, he will be voted out of ownership and forced to sell the team. However, in 1981, when Sterling bought the team for 12.5 million dollars, he will probably sell and 33 years later, the franchise is now worth an estimated 570 million dollars.  So, he will receive a 557.5 million dollar profit.  I hope thi

Wizards WIN! 98-85

The Washington Wizards take care of buisness at home against the Chicago Bulls. The Wizards now have a 3-1 lead in the series and only need one more win to win the series. The Wizards will now head back to Chicago where they have won 2 games there and look to crush the hearts of the Bulls . Watch on Tuesday night at 8pm on TNT.  Go Wizards!

Wizards lose a close one to the Bulls 101-97

Looking to grab a 3-0 lead on the Chicago Bulls, the Washington Wizards couldn't get the win in the closing minutes. Chicago didn't want to lose this game, and historically, any team down 3-0 in a playoff series, will lose the series. Washington needs to close out and protect the basket. Too many second chance points for Chicago were allowed and Washington went cold in the fourth quarter. Mike Dunleavy Jr. of the Chicago Bulls went on fire, scoring 35 points, a career playoff best for him . They didn't score in 7 minutes of the 4th quarter, it wasn't until the closing seconds where Washington looked to head the game into overtime. Also, Nene stirred some controversy and fouled Jimmy Butler of the Bulls and gave him a headbutt, followed by grappling of his neck. He will be suspended for Game 4 on Sunday.  The Wizards look to regain their compose and confidence back at home at 1pm tomorrow, in the Verizon Center. GO WIZ!

Wizards look to take 3-0 lead over the Bulls

The Wizards have landed back home in the nation's capital.  They look to keep the playoff magic going against the Chicago Bulls and take a 3-0 lead. If they get the win tonight in the Verizon Center, they will be one game closer to winning the series.  The Wizards do not want to settle and let Chicago back into the series . Some of the team leaders , such as John Wall and Bradley Beal were asked if they can relax with a lead , " We haven't accomplished anything because we're up 2-0." - Beal  " Game 3 is the most important game in this series."- Wall  Wall and Beal are correct , this pivotal game could change the series , either positively or negatively for the Wizards. Hopefully, they bring that passion tonight at the Verizon Center.  The game starts at 8pm et and can be seen on ESPN GO WIZ! Latino comedian Gabriel Iglesias gives account of Hollywood Stereotypes

The hilarious comedian Gabriel Iglesias was recently on the Arsenio Hall show. He gave a 5 minute routine , entailing his recent success in Hollywood and being stereotyped and type- casted in animation films and TV shows.  Here's the clip and check it out for yourselves. I completely agree with Iglesias and as a latino , i see the stereotypes in Hollywood and I'm glad Iglesias is standing up for what is right. http://www.arseniohall.com/video/standup/4811_gabriel_iglesias_calls_out_nickelodeon_ethnic_casting/index.html?042314

WIZARDS WIN!!!!!!!!! 101 -99 Lead Chicago 2-0 in NBA Playoff Series

The Washington Wizards close out a crucial win against the Chicago Bulls tonight in Chicago. It seemed that the Bulls would bounce back from the loss on Sunday , but Washington wasn't going to be a one trick pony. Everyone got involved in the game and clutch shooting from Bradley Beal in the fourth quarter and overtime lead the Wizards to victory! Defensive Player of the Year Joakim Noah and the Bulls did not have an answer for the versatile shooting from Beal, Wall, Ariza and Nene. Washington heads home to the nation's capital for a 3-0 lead on Friday! Watch on ESPN at 8pm et.  As a lifelong Wizards fan, words can't express my joy at this moment. Keep fighting WIZ!!

The Wizards get their first playoff win in seven years! They played a great , team-oriented basketball. The scorer that led the way for the Wizards was Nene and had 24 points and 8 rebounds. They look to win Game 2 coming next week against Chicago. They lead the series 1-0!

The Bad Boys of Basketball

They were known as the Bad Boys, the late 1980s-1990s  Detroit Pistons of the NBA. They has superstars such as Isiah Thomas, Dennis Rodman, John Salley, Joe Dumars and Bill Lambeer. The were rugged and tough against their opponents and even Michael Jordan goes on the record for the Bad Boys giving him a extreme challenge in his early years playing in the NBA.  ESPN gives the doucmentary, The Bad Boys tonight at 8pm. Be sure to check it out for all you basketball fans. http://espn.go.com/30for30/

Wizards making the Playofff Push

It's been 6 years since the Washington Wizards made the playoffs and in the next week they will return back to playoff basketball. The Wizards have won over 40 games this year and with the leadership of John Wall, Bradley Beal and Trevor Ariza. The group seems to be playing cohesively and their playing team ball. My hope for them is to continue this throughout the playoffs. They will probably be the 5th or 6th seed in the Eastern Conference and will match up against Toronto, Brooklyn or Chicago.  The Wizards have a fighting chance against these teams, but they must win on the road , since they aren't a top seed.  It's been refreshing to watch this season and as a lifelong fan I hope they keep growing as franchise.  Don't stop Belevin' DC!

Silicon Valley

Silicon Valley is known as the mecca of technological innovation. It all started from computer pioneers Steve Jobs and Bill Gates, and now it has transformed into the place for the latest and greatest technologies. Now, companies such as Google, Microsoft , Yahoo, Facebook, Twitter and numerous other social media, tech-based companies are stationed out in Palo Alto, CA for dominance. Those computer geeks one has probably made fun of in highschool and in grammar school school are now running our globe with code processing for computers and internet sites, data research, making new apps and phones so we the consumers can be hooked on the latest trends.  I recently watched a show, Silicon Valley by Mike Judd, on HBO, creating and directing a show where it entails a shy guy, Richard ,  with an amazing creation, a media/code compressor allowing one to get all the tech information instantaneously. He and his upstart company, Pied Piper , along with 4 of his nerdy friends assemble to change t

Desean Jackson joins the Redskins

Yesterday, reports came out that former Philadelphia Eagles wide out, Desean Jackson signed a 3-year contract with the Washington Redskins. Jackson is coming off a great season with the Eagles , with 80 + catches and over 1200 yards on the season. Not to mention he and the Eagles made the playoffs and took the NFC East title. However, as a Redskins fan, I'm excited that Jackson has joined the Redskins with QB Robert Griffin III , how looks to return to elevate his game under new coach Jay Gruden and his success last year in Cincinnati. Also, the stars such as Pierre Garcon, Alfred Morris and veteran Santana Moss to add to the mix. The Redskins look to regain  the rushing game under consistent Alfred Morris and his consecutive pro -bowl seasons. Coach Jay Gruden will most likely have a west-coast offensive system also, with an arial assault and with weapons such as Garcon, and Jackson, RGIII will have no problems throwing the ball.  There is alot to look forward to this season and I
