Movie Time, Top Movies of November

Hello everyone, I'm back after a long hiatus and this past month of November, I got to see some pretty good movies. One, being the finale in the Hunger Games Saga, Hunger Games: Mockingjay Part 2 and Creed, the highly anticipated Rocky spin-off.

Beginning with Mockingjay part 2, the film adequatley gives a proper send off to all off the characters in the film. The protagonist , Katniss Everdeen, is faced saving all of the districts once and for all and her group of x-hunger games victors and friends battle against President Snow for a new republic in the capitol, a democratic republic. There were good tense action scenes , that of which one saw in the trailers, it is to be expected, but nothing over the top, or breathtaking.  Also, for first-time viewers, be on the lookout for newly recruited foes from Snow and his army, for all you zombie fans, there's a surprise for you all. But, the ending of the film was predictable and there was no major drama or suspense that leaves you missing the saga completely and wanting more.  The writers and directors of this film , left us, the viewers hanging on some character development, particularly the end of the film.  Overall, it's worth watching and better in comparison to the movies that came out this fall.  My rating for this film, 8.1/10 Good job Mockingjay Pt. 2!

Now, as for the movie Creed, starring Michael B. Jordan, (not the greatest basketball player of all time), and Rocky himself, Sylvester Stallone, was well done. The film entails the story of Adonis Johnson-Creed, the long lost son of Apollo Creed. And for all you Rocky fans, including myself, we know Apollo died in the ring against the Russian Machine, Ivan Drago in Rocky 4, but Adonis never met this father and had no relationship with him, but Apollo's widow , takes him in and raises him as her own in LA. But , Adonis grows up and always wanted to be fighter, and therefore, we quits his white-collar business exec job and LA life, and heads to Philadelphia, to get help from the one and only Rocky. They establish a relationship and Rocky is placed into a training role and somewhat owes Adonis , based on Apollo's death and their great friendship.  Adonis , or "Donny" starts to meets Rocky's boxing staff and wins a couple of amateur fights in the Philly area, and suddenly, as he gains notoriety, the media finds out he's Apollo's son and is set up with a Pay-Per View fight with a top British boxer, who due to criminal trouble, has only one fight left in him before he heads off to jail and inevitably ends his boxing career. Then it is up to Adonis to make a name for himself, not the past his father created for him.  Overall, the film was well shot, viewers get a chance to see the real city of Philadelphia, as it was shot in North Philadelphia , the gritty side of Philly, which is fitting to the film.  Actors Jordan and Stallone make a great pair and their chemistry in the film , was like of a father and son.  My rating for this film is a 9.2/10 , the film was a knockout!! I hope to see a Creed 2 in a couple of years!!
