No No Power Rangers

This past week, I had the opportunity to relive old childhood memories with a friend and watch the all-new Power Rangers movie, Starring Bryan Cranston, Elizabeth Banks and Bill Hader. As I expected, it was not a success. That isn't saying much , considering the previous movies in the 90s and 2000s were cheesy but this one is rotten cheese. The plot is based on a group of teens in a Midwest highschool who are a bunch of outsiders in some respect. The classic movie archetype of a band of misfits, which you see in films, such as the Breakfast Club, where a a nerd, pretty girl, jock, class clown, toublemaker and misunderstood girl come together.  the group encounters some radicoative stones found in their local mine and discover their powers and new headquaters with alien activity, Cranston plays Zordon, former red ranger and leader millions of years ago. He helps train and cultivate the new rangers powers to potential defeat rogue ranger and villain, Rita Repulsa, ( Banks). Rita lands on Earth and hunts down the new rangers with her alien army. You guys know how the rest of the story goes.  The CGI in the film was over the top and plot was completely predictable.  Based on the ending of the film, there will possibly be a sequel. I guess the directors and crew's logic was, it can't get any worse, so let's put another out and maybe fans will forget about the first one. Well, I'll try to forget, and hopefully the rangers will "morph" out of the hot garbage they placed themselves in.  Rating: 4.5/10 POO POO RANGERS to the rescue!

Check out the only good thing about the film, the trailer.

If you do decide to watch the film, be warned I told you it was bad.
