NFL Playoffs Divisonal Round

Well folks, we are into our second week of NFL Playoff football. Things have begun to heat up and teams are pushing to be in the Superbowl in February. There are some excellent matchups this week on both the NFC and AFC sides.

Here are my picks for the NFC Divisional Round:

Green Bay Packers vs. Arizona Cardinals.  Arizona Wins, 28-24.

Green Bay came off against an impressive win against the Washington Redskins who were red hot heading into the playoffs. Quarterback Aaron Rodgers seems to have steered his Packers into the right direction, but I don't think they will beat Arizona who has been amazing all year long.  A month ago, Arizona stomped on Green Bay in the regular season, with a 38-8 win at home.  Green Bay will again have to head to Arizona, but I think they will put up a fight, but their superbowl chances will come to a close.

Next up,

Seattle Seahawks vs. Carolina Panthers.

I have the Carolina Panthers winning convincingly against the 2-time defending NFC Champion Seahawks.  In week 7, Carolina proved their worth against Seattle and won in their house. In addition, Carolina has been the best team in the league all year long, they almost went undefeated and Cam Newton is so dynamic running and throwing the football.  I have  Carolina , 27- Seattle 14.  The reasons why I have Seattle losing, is that they barely against Minnesota last week in the wildcard round, and Minnesota was a missed field goal in the closing seconds of the game away from advancing.

Now , there is the AFC Divisional Round:

Kansas City Chiefs vs. New England Patriots
My pick for this game is New England winning, 20- 17.

New England will win this game at home, and although Kansas City is coming off on an 11-game winning streak, they don't have enough outside weapons to compete with New England's defense. Also, New England wants to be repeat as Superbowl Champions and I don't think their run will end with this game. Quarterback  Tom Brady will lead his team to victory, despite having numerous injuries to their receiving core and NE will rely on their running game.

And lastly,  there is  Denver Broncos vs. Pittsburgh Steelers

My pick to win is Denver, by the score, 24-10.
Denver is coming into postseason form and with rest with a bye last week, they will be ready to tackle and push around the tattered Steelers, who last week battled in a shootout against the Cincinnati Bengals. Also, the Steelers might not have their top receiver and league-leading receiver Antonio Brown with a concussion from a malicious hit from Cincy linebacker Vontez Burfict, who has been suspended the first  3 games of next season. Also, quarterback Ben Rothlisberger has some torn ligaments in his throwing shoulder from hits he took last week against Cincinnati.  Plus, you can't count Peyton Manning and the Broncos, who have been running the ball so well.

So, here are my picks and we shall see how it goes down this weekend.  Check your local listings for the games this weekend. Let the games continue!
