Throwback Jams of the 90s/2000s


Hello everyone, I'm back from my long hiatus and I hope everyone is safe and well during these trying times around the world, with the Corona virus spreading around the world, and hope all are safe and well. I want to share with all of you some classic throwback pop jams which now nearly almost 20 years old or a quarter century! Let kick it off and listen to these gems to get you through the day!


1. Senorita - Justin Timberlake ( 2002) 

This track is coming off for JT's debut album from NSYNC , Justified, a classic bop that has a funky twang, produced by super-producer group, Pharrell Williams and Chad Hugo,  The Neptunes. In addition, the song a swanky call and response and Timberlake's falsetto pitch truly complements the production. On his debut album, JT has the classic hits such as Cry Me a River, Rock Your Body, and Like I Love You. Be sure to check out this album and its produced by talented and legendary artists such as Brian McKnight, Timbaland, Neptunes, and Scott Storch.



2. Everybody - Backstreet Boys ( 1997) 
Everyone remembers the  Backstreet Boys, one of the biggest boy bands of the 90s , along with the likes of NSYNC and 98 Degrees. One of their smash hits, Everyobdy, is club anthem that has a pumping bass and hardcore synth. This is mixed with the strong harmonizing of the group and funk beats dabbled in there! The group contains smash hits, such as I Want It That Way, Quit Playin' Games With My Heart, Larger Than Life and many more! Rock your body to this jam! 

 







3.    You Make Me Wanna - Usher ( 1997) 

This single comes from the now revered  pop star, Usher, but back in 1997, he was a young man with a gifted smooth and soulful voice and grew into his way up the Pop and R/B charts! Under the tutelage and guidance of artists, executives and producers, such as Jermaine Dupree, Babyface, and L.A. Reid. Usher grew and molded his youthful sound and later with double platinum albums such as Confessions ( 2004) and lifted him into super-stardom. Listen to the young Usher with this smooth track! 







4. It Wasn't Me - Shaggy ( 1999) 

Shaggy, the reggae artist and rapper, comes through with this infidelity anthem, It Wasn't Me. His eclectic sound and production with Caribbean and reggae influences permeate through the song. Also, the melodic riffs from the artist RikRok compliments Shaggy's strong and booming tone. Check out this groovy banger from almost 21 years ago! 





5.  Hot In Herre - Nelly ( 2002) 

We have one of the biggest hits of the 2000s, with Nelly's Hot In Herre! Nelly and the Neptunes create a massive chart topper with pumping bass, major bass riffs and Nelly's quick rap flow blends into smash hit! Hot In Herre is arguably one of Nelly's biggest hits of his career and his commercial success put him on the map of St. Louis rap and gave leeway and shine to his group, St. Lunatics. The song also earned Nelly a Grammy in 2003, for Best Solo Rap Male Performance.  Check out the sizzling hit below:
