NBA Free Agency Update

In NBA news, Carmelo Anthony has decided to stay with the New York Knicks. Anthony and the Knicks reached an agreement on a 5 yr 129 million dollar contract. Melo said today that " Ride or Die, I'm with the Knicks." I hope that Anthony and new coach Derek Fisher can reboot the Knicks after a dismal performance last year. Also, with the guidance of legendary coach and Knicks president, Phil Jackson, they will attempt to build around Anthony and invest in the future with more draft picks and free agency in 2016. In Chicago, the Spaniard Pau Gasol has reached an agreement to play with the Bulls next season. Gasol narrowed his choices down to NBA Champs, The San Antonio Spurs and the Chicago Bulls.  Gasol makes a great adiditon for the Bulls with the offensive skill set and size. The Bulls will definitely be better next season , adding the return of PG Derek Rose.  Next, there is the fomer Bull and Cav, Luol Deng, who has decided to take his talents to South Beach and join the Miami Heat. Deng signed a 2 -year deal yesterday and provides offensive help to a Heat team that lost the league's best player, LeBron James to his home team of Clevland on Friday, but with Chris Bosh returning, Luol Deng and most likely, Dwayne Wade, the Heat wont fall off as much. And Finally, for my Wizards fans, we have picked up league -vet and champ, Paul Peirce. Peirce agreed to a 2 year, 10 million dollar deal to play in the nation's capital. After losing Trevor Ariza to the Houston Rockets, Washington needed a veteran to provide offense , with stars John Wall and Bradley Beal. Also, with the resigning of Marcin Gortat, the Wiz have a nice combination of veteran savvy and youth. Hopefully it will translate to a deep playoff run like last year.  Overall, with LeBron James heading back to Cleveland, it neutralized the power in the Eastern Conference. I expect more exciting and competitive play from the East ,and give the Western Confrernce a run for their money. I honestly don't have a favorite to win the title next year, but that is what makes it so special. Anyone can win. The season starts on October 28th, get ready NBA fans!!!

What's up everyone, I know I've been on hiatus but I've been listening to some great music lately, and some from one of my favorite artists, Drake. Drake dropped two new singles a couple weeks ago, with God's Plan and Diplomatic Immunity. These are hits already and God's Plan has already gone platinum. Drake also shot the music video and released it last week . The video is set in downtown Miami, FL and Drake gives back to the community and gives money to those in need, cars, and other charitable organizations in the process. D.C. has made waves this past year with his hit song " Crew" and has put other jams such as "Meditation" and " Herside Story". Black Panther Review

The highly anticipated Marvel movie,  Black Panther has shattered and exceeded the box - office expectations. Deservedly so, the film has gained a 100 percent score on Rotten Tomatoes and critically acclaimed reviews across the United States and around the world.
