Cheesy Latin Videos You Can't Help But Enjoy

Growing up with a latino family and parties and celebrations, representing your heritage and culture,  one is surrounded and influenced by a myriad of songs and musical sytlings.  Here are a couple songs that are cheesy in terms of video production and style, most of which are telling of the time period, such as the 80s and 90s, but, nevertheless, get you in a funky groove that will last a lifetime. 

First up, El Jardinero-Wilfrido Vargas

This upbeat and groovy love song is about a metaphorical "gardener" that showers his love with flowers for seduction and pleasure. My fave part of the video is the middle when the backup dancers, form a nice groove line and sing the " Ah-beep- beep"chorus.  

Sopa De Caracol - Banda Blanca 

This song is a party starter! The literal translation means shell or snail in zoological context. The elad singer is quite chipper and is surrounded by dancing attractive women by the pool. He busts out the hip thrusts and girates like nobody's business. But the song is catchy and I like to say the lead singer has a "cara del payaso" or  a face of a clown or fool haha.  Dale duro and get your riki tiki on! 

 

El Baile Del Perrito- Wilfrido Vargas  

Here is another jam by Sr. Vargas. This one is quite simple and that is the doggy or puppy dance. I like to think this song and dance is a precursor to twerking. You just gotta squat dwon and thrust your hips back and forth and shake that booty! The video with this dancers and clowns in the beginning are hilarous, alongside Vargas' faces and expressions of him and his dancers while dancing.  Hagan el baile del perrito!!
