NBA Finals Prediction 2017

The past two games of the NBA Finals have gotten a lot of attention due to the fact that, it is the third consecutive year in a row that the Warriors and Cavaliers are facing off for the NBA title. In addition, Kevin Durant's joining of the Warriors in the off season and now his dominance in the first two games of the Finals have gotten him and the Warriors praise. However,  even though the Cavs are down 0-2, the series heads back to Cleveland tomorrow night and Friday. The Cavs were down 0-2 last year in the Finals and came back from a 3-1 deficit in the series to claim Cleveland's fist title in franchise history. By the way, there's this guy named LeBron James, the best player in the game, and I wouldn't count him out. He's averaging a triple double in these finals with 28pts. 13 rebs, and 11assts.  This is a pretty amazing feat since this is his 7th straight finals and his age at 32.  The problem with the Cavs isn't LeBron, it the role players and Kyrie Irving's sub par play. If Kyrie Irving and Tristan Thompson, J.R. Smith, can play to their desperate , championship level of last year, then watch out Warriors. The series isn't over yet. The Cavs must re-establish their post presence on offense and defense and rebound, to eliminate Golden State's second chance points. Also, the Cavs need to get tougher on defense with Kevin Durant, rough him up a bit. The guy may be 6'11, but has the frame of a 15 year old. Trap and double team him, Durant thrives off cuts to the basket, ball screens, and eliminate the mid range game from him. If the Cavs do that, their chances of winning the series rises dramatically.  Columnists and sports media are counting the Cavs and James out of this finals and NBA analysts and retired players such as Jalen Rose and Paul Pierce claim that "Kevin Durant is the best player in the league right now." " The Cavaliers cannot win 4 out of 5 games".  I find it hilarious that these analysts question the dominance of LeBron James and the Cavaliers, and the physical and mental fortitude in this series. It is up to the Cavaliers to prove these doubters wrong and show their true colors. I still hold on to my prediction that the Cavaliers will win this series in 7 games.

Game 3 of the Finals  stats tomorrow at 9pm et on ABC.
Be there and watch how this series unfolds.  Here's a reminder of what the Cavs can do!
