Michael Jackson: Journey from Motown to Off The Wall

What's up all my Michael Jackson fans out there! Everyone should go watch the new documentary on the King of Pop, directed by Spike Lee. It entails the beginnings of Jackson's solo career and the foundation and processing of his debut album, Off the Wall. Michael teamed up with Quincy Jones, the legendary musician, composer, and friend of Michael's to establish his new sound and the process of developing Michael as an individual atrist. The film will also entail the roots of his stardom, which most of us already, he and his brothers started the Jackson 5 with Motown and head of Motown, Berry Gordy making the Jacksons a household name. In addition, the film also probably discuss the evolution of the Jackson 5 into the Jacksons, one the Jackson family separated from Mowtown as young adults and wanted more artistic and corporate control of their success.Especially for Michael, the lead singer of the group and unanimously the most talented and versitale of the Jackson family, he wanted to spread his wings as an artist and probably felt due to familial obligations, he had to be worth the group for as long as he did, despite wanting personal success as an artist. The Off the Wall album truly established Michael as a musical force in the industry of pop music, and international stardom. We all know how well the Thriller album , his second album did for him, and making him the best selling artist of all time and the album with the greatest record sales of all time. But had it not been for the vision of Michael, the collaboration and production of Quincy Jones, and the ultimate decision to bring as a solo artist, Michael Jackson would not be the musical/pop culture icon he is today and respected to have been since his passing 6 years ago. The documentary premieres tonight on Showetime @ 9pm et. Check your local listings and cable provider for more information.  We miss you Michael and this documentary proves how much your work and artistry is missed. One Love
