Is R/B music dead?

With all of the buzz around around pop music with Miley Cyrus , rap music with Drake, Kanye West , country music with Taylor Swift, Keith Urban, where does that leave R and B music with? There needs to be a renassiance of soul and funk into the music scene again. Is it because R/B isn't  sexy or catchy? What's not sexy in that of a soulful love ballad? Artist such as Keith Sweat , of Bobby Brown would tell you otherwise , or the late-great Michael Jackson with the Off The Wall album that has jams that last a lifetime such as Its The Falling In Love, Off The Wall, Working Day and Nite etc. So Ameerica, get back to some soulful and funky music. Don't get me wrong , I like the new age pop and rap , but let't not forget where it stems from ..... R AND B MUSICCC.  Now go and bust a move!
