Jimmie Kimmel and Kanye West

On Thursday night on Jimmie Kimmel Live, Kimmel invited Kanye West for an interview to discuss some recent controversy on Twitter between the two, and to address a skit Kimmel parodied of West. They both said their apologies for the harsh comments they made to each other on Twitter and the misconceptions they had for one another. West started first, and wanted to let the audience and America know that he is a "creative musical genius" and he should not be criticized for his musical and buisness ventures. He wants to "change the world" with his music and be a role model for the youth to look up to. Kimmel responded to West and agreed with his statements. He said that because West is outspoken, his words get misinterperted and makes him a villain in society. He also mentions the angst the media has against his relationship with Kim Kardashian their daughter."Just because she is a reality tv star, doesn't mean they can't put my girl on a Hollywood star." -West  Kimmel responded by agreeing with West and saying that people should stop hating on West and should respect his family. Overall, the two patched things up and looks like they are pals again.

NCAA Championship Review

Well folks, it is all over! A new NCAA Basketball Champ is crowned and that team is Duke Unviersity. Coack K and his Blue Devils capture their 5th national championship under the leadership of Senior Guard Quinn Cook from the DC area such as myself, and excellent freshman play of Tyus Jones, Justice Winslow an potential NBA #1 pick in the 2015 draft , Jahlil Okafor. Duke went up against a Wisconsin team that was coming off from defeating an undefeated Kentucky team and with their play under National Player of the Year, Frank Kaminski and Sam Decker. However, Wisconsin struggled throughout the game at the free throw line at 60% versus Duke's team percentage of  80%.  In addition, Wisconsin's shooting overall was less than satisfactory with 41% from the field and Duke nearly made half of all of their shots with 47%.  As for the defensive side of the ball, Duke handled Wisconsin with 6 blocks and 4 steals. Wizards lose a close one to the Bulls 101-97

Looking to grab a 3-0 lead on the Chicago Bulls, the Washington Wizards couldn't get the win in the closing minutes. Chicago didn't want to lose this game, and historically, any team down 3-0 in a playoff series, will lose the series. Washington needs to close out and protect the basket. Too many second chance points for Chicago were allowed and Washington went cold in the fourth quarter. Mike Dunleavy Jr. of the Chicago Bulls went on fire, scoring 35 points, a career playoff best for him . They didn't score in 7 minutes of the 4th quarter, it wasn't until the closing seconds where Washington looked to head the game into overtime. Also, Nene stirred some controversy and fouled Jimmy Butler of the Bulls and gave him a headbutt, followed by grappling of his neck. He will be suspended for Game 4 on Sunday.  The Wizards look to regain their compose and confidence back at home at 1pm tomorrow, in the Verizon Center. GO WIZ!

Say it isn't so, Derrick Rose is hurt again

Former MVP and PG of the Chicago Bulls , Derrick Rose is hurt again with a torn meniscus in his right knee.  This will be Rose's 4th knee surgery in the past year. Ever since Rose suffered from a torn ACL in the 2012 playoffs against Philadelphia, he has missed over 100 games with the Chicago Bulls. The question now loom s for the Bulls is,  will Rose ever be helathy and be a dominant player again in the NBA? It is evident that he is injury prone and as an NBA fan, this has happened far to often with players of Rose's caliber in the past, ex: Penny Hardaway,  Tracy McGrady, Grant Hill etc. Those players went on to have long careers and were talented, but their injuries stunted them from achieving potential NBA Champion and future Hall Of Fame status. Now, what do the Chicago Bulls do in the future in regards with Rose? Well, if was the GM, I would definitely look to trade or draft a quality point guard.  Also, the Bulls looked to make a championship run this season...
